Abstract:

To provide an image correcting method for making an accurate image correction of a part requiring image correction by accurately detecting streak-like density unevenness that appears adjacent to a line defect of a photographed image, and a radiation imaging apparatus.

This image processing method includes processes: for acquiring inactive data obtained by reading image signals of a detector without carrying out reading operation, and detecting a line defect from the inactive data; acquiring active data obtained by reading image signals of the detector by carrying out the reading operation, and detecting a line defect from the active data; and detecting the line defect detected in the active data but not detected in the inactive data, as a noted line defect, and recognizing a pixel adjacent to the noted line defect, as a pseudo-defective pixel having density unevenness.
