Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent flare correction from being unnecessarily performed in a saturation region in which no flare occurs.SOLUTION: An image processing program causes a computer to perform steps of: obtaining an input image in which an image formed by a photographic optical system is imaged; generating a plurality of binarized images by binarizing the input image using respectively different threshold values; detecting an orbicular zone included in the input image using the plurality of binarized images; estimating a position of a light source, which is a cause of flare, from a position of the detected orbicular zone; and performing, on the input image, correction for suppressing the flare with reference to the estimated light source position.
