To provide an image processing program and an image processing system capable of eliminating environmental light noise partially emitted at a taken image.
A gray-scale image is generated from the taken image (S601), a color data of pixels composing the gray-scale image is detected, and edge pixels to be recognized are extracted according to strength of boundary colors of adjacent pixels (S603). Next, a binary image including white and black is generated from the edge-extracted image, a specified image to be recognized is generated by eliminating the granular environmental light noise, which is partially emitted at the taken image, from the binary image (S606). Procedures of eliminating the environmental light noise includes a procedure of measuring an area of the edge pixels having the white in the binary data, and a procedure regarding edge pixels where the measured area does not reach a prescribed value capable of being regarded as elements to be recognized as environmental light noise and eliminating these edge pixels, while regarding edge pixels reaching the prescribed value as a contour to be recognized and holding the edge pixels reaching the prescribed value.
