The information processing method in the image processing apparatus capable of communicating with a plurality of personal digital assistants whose communication function operates through user authentication comprises a requiring process (Step S614) of requiring registration of terminal identification information for identifying the personal digital assistant, a transfer process (Step S616) of transferring an authentication ID issued when the terminal identification information is registered to the personal digital assistant, a command process of commanding authentication processing based on the authentication ID when the authentication ID is transmitted from the personal digital assistant, and a receiving process of receiving a predetermined operation command when the personal digital assistant is authenticated as the result of the authentication processing.
