Abstract:

PURPOSE: To execute highly accurate image processing without being influenced by environment by applying object approximate position recognition, specific part area extraction and a light quantity control system based upon density distribution and setting up and optimum area in accordance with the shape of an object or the sort of work.

CONSTITUTION: The image processing system is constituted of an image processor 1, a work approximate position detecting camera 2, an image inputting camera 3, an iris control device 4, a lighting device 5, a light quantity control device 6, a controller 7, a conveyer 8, a work 9, and a monitor 10. The approximate position of a working target is recognized at first, and at the time of inputting an image from the information, the image of an especially necessary part is extracted from the working target, the density distribution of the partial image is found out, and after controlling the exposure and illuminating light quantity of the camera 3 so as that the obtained density distribution is made equal to previously set density distribution (model), the image is inputted. Consequently, an image having always the same condition and characteristics can be entered in any environment and the processing accuracy can be improved.
