Abstract:
PURPOSE:To perform efficient image processing by using a small image data storage area, by providing an image processor which segments and composes the image on the basis of the indications of a host computer, and an image file stored with the image data. CONSTITUTION:A definition body determining an image data storage area wherein fields in a frame and image data entered in the fields are stored is stored in an image control information file 5. When data is inputted from a facsimile equipment 1, only the image data specified in the definition body is extracted by the image processing support component in the control program in a host computer 4 and an image processor 7, and the stored in an image file 6. When the image data is transmitted to the facsimile equipment 1, on the other hand, the image processing application program of a host computer 4 reads the image data and requests the image processing support component to select the definition body and compose the image, thereby generating facsimile data.
