Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate the correction of color slurring.
SOLUTION: In the case of gradation color representation data having components almost nearly equal in relation, the image data should represent a black or a white color in a low lightness area or a high lightness area, and the components are basically equal in the areas, then color slurring is discriminated based on a difference between the components. Under the situation above, arithmetic lightness in a range where the image data are not saturated is decided in the step S110, a mean value of the components in the arithmetic lightness is calculated in the step S120, color slurring is calculated, based on the difference between the arithmetic lightness and the means value of the components in the step S130, and the color slurring is reflected on the image data in the step S140 to correct the data.
