Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To imbed electronic watermark information that cannot be easily lost even when digital data are printed.
SOLUTION: An image processing unit is provided with an entry means that enters image data, a selection means that selects any of a plurality of pattern arrangements in response to the print condition of the image data, and an imbedding means that imbeds electronic watermark information by applying gradation conversion to the image data according to each element constituting the pattern arrangement selected by the selection means.
