Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance an entire execution speed for decoding and magnification/ reduction by applying a high speed decoding to pixel data at a base end from the start point of a display area.
SOLUTION: An image processing unit 10 that applies decoding and magnification/reduction to an optional area of image compression data that are received and differential-coded to display the result between a display area start point and a display area end point is provided with a plurality of decoding circuit 21-24, wherein each decoding circuit is sequentially receives pixel data included in the image compression data and outputs decoded data corresponding to the pixel data. Furthermore, the image processing unit 10 has a detection means 20 that detects an address of the image data to be displayed reaches a display area start point and allows each of the decoding circuits 21-24 receiving the pixel data included the image compression data to repetitively execute decoding in a timing of one clock till the arrival to the display area start point is detected.
