Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the timing for executing calibration of a printer favorably.
SOLUTION: Depending on the state of a job, a setting section 116 of a host 101 sets four execution timings of calibration of a printer 102, i.e., immediate execution, execution after ending a job, immediate execution for more than specified number of pages and execution after ending a job for less than specified number of pages. When calibration is requested from the printer 102, the printer is controlled to execute calibration at a set timing. Since a job or calibration can be executed preferentially, both the quality of image and the efficiency of operation can be satisfied.
