Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable a stable image process wherein the illuminance unevenness of a background is minimized by coloring respective background plates in light/dark state corresponding to the intensity distributions of light on the background plates. CONSTITUTION:The background plates 4 and 5 provided behind an object member 3 to be picked up is irradiated with light beams the shadow formed by cutting off the light projected from the background members 4 and 5 by said member 3 is picked up by an image pickup means 7. The background members 4 and 5 are colored corresponding to the light intensity distributions of the light irradiating the background plates 4 and 5 from the lightening means 6 so that the intensity of projection light from a part with high illuminance light intensity is nearly equal to the intensity of projection light from a part with low illuminance intensity. Namely, the color of the part with the high illuminance intensity is made dark and the color of the part with the low illuminance intensity is made light to nearly equalize the intensity of projection light from the parts of the background plates 4 and 5, thereby minimizing the illuminance unevenness of the background plates 4 and 5. Further, the image process when the shadow image of the object member 3 is picked up by the image pickup means 7 is stably performed.
