Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide images of high definition and an optional resolution by correcting the images distorted by oblique reading. SOLUTION: A rotation mechanism part 2 capable of rotating a read part 4 within a surface parallel to the surface to be read of an original is provided. When an operator specifies the resolution, a control part 1 reports the rotation angle of the read part 4 to the rotation mechanism part 2 from the resolution and reports the speed of movement to a drive part 3 and an image input device 7 inputs the images of the original. Input image data read by the read part 4 are stored in an image data storage part 5. At the time, input images are distorted by the angle of the rotation of the read part 4 and inputted. For them, in an image processing part 6, the images are corrected by the angle and the moving speed supplied by the control part 1. That is, in order to restore the images distorted though high resolution obtained by reading obliquely the state of source images, the angle is utilized and the images are corrected.
