Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To project an OSD screen capable of maintaining an energy-saving effect of a lamp power adjustment control, as well as not failing to allow a user to easily recognize.SOLUTION: An image projection device generates a projection image according to an image signal, and projects the projection image on a projection-target surface. The image projection device includes a lamp power control part 304 configured to control an output of a light source according to brightness of the image signal; and superposition image projection means (an OSD preparation part 301, a main control part 300) configured to superimpose a predetermined superposition image (OSD screen) to the projection image generated according to the image signal to project. The superposition image projection means generates a plurality of images indicating the same contents having at least partially different brightness as a superposition image, and projects a different superposition image according to the projection image.
