Abstract:
To provide an image projection device with which it is possible to effectively suppress the temperature rise of an image irradiation unit due to external light while maintaining the quality of a projected image.SOLUTION: Provided is an image projection device comprising: an image irradiation unit (10) for radiating irradiation light that includes an image; a first free-form surface mirror (20) for reflecting irradiation light that enters from the image irradiation unit (10); an intermediate mirror (30) for reflecting irradiation light that enters from the first free-form surface mirror (20); a second free-form surface mirror (40) for reflecting irradiation light that enters from the intermediate mirror (30) and letting it reach a viewpoint (60). The irradiation light reflected by the first free-form surface mirror (20) is formed into an image for at least one of its components in the image-forming axis directions at an intermediate image forming position before reaching the second free-form surface mirror (40), with the intermediate mirror (30) arranged at the intermediate image forming position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
