Abstract:
To provide an image reader and an image forming device equipped therewith where an original is read in a state where it is surely pressed and the position of the original is corrected to a specified read position.
In the case of reading the image of the original 3 placed on an original platen, the original 3 placed on the original platen is pressed by an original cover member 2 provided to open/close with respect to a device main body. An opening part for contact 21 is provided on the member 2 so as to appear, and a user directly touch the pressed original 3 through the opening part 21 in the case of reading the image of the original 3.
