Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the confirmation of type, and presence of flaw or dirt or the like of a white reference plate and a job such as cleaning and replacement by placing a sub glass in addition to a contact glass on which a read original is placed.
SOLUTION: A contact glass 2 and a removable sub glass 3 are arranged to an upper side of a case 1 as a same plane. A white reference plate 4 is fitted to an upper side of the sub glass 3 while a white reference surface of the plate 4 is in close contact with an upper face of the sub glass 3. Components requiring replacement are fixed altogether on the sub glass 3, then it is not required to remove the contact glass 2 fixed to the case 1 by other person than the maintenance personnel. The positioning after removing the sub glass 3 is conducted by setting the glass 3 along with an end face of the contact glass 2, and end face corners of the glass 3 in contact with the placing position of the case 1 are chamfered to attain smooth contact.
