Abstract:
To solve a problem in which a compound machine (MFP) may be prohibited from using E-mail and facsimile by setting, and in this case, when destination information is obtained from a business card by character recognition and registered in the transmission destination of the MFP or the address book, an error occurs, thereby forcing the user to perform unnecessary operations.SOLUTION: When the character recognition result is displayed, the destination of an unavailable protocol is set in advance as non-display according to device setting of an MFP and user authentication setting.
