Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus capable of suppressing an uneven density by eliminating (or decreasing) a difference between an output waveform at shading correction and an output waveform when an original is actually read.
SOLUTION: The image reading apparatus using a read sensor 2 to read a sheet original led between a contact glass plate 3 and a white pressing board 5 is provided with a connecting/disconnecting means 12 for connecting/disconnecting the contact glass plate 3 to/from the white pressing board 5.
