Title:
IMAGE RECEIVING LAYER TRANSFER MATERIAL AND IMAGE FORMATION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07112572
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a transfer material which can create on image-receiving layer which has a high image density, no color irregularity, and good dot reproducibility and is suited for a recording method of recording an image after an image-receiving layer is formed on a transfer medium and further, and to provide a good image format on method using the image-receiving layer transfer material.

CONSTITUTION: An image-receiving layer transfer material 7 consists of an image-receiving layer 3, a thin metal layer 5 and an adhesive layer 6 laminated sequentially on a support 1. An image-receiving layer 3 is formed on a transfer medium 8 using the image-receiving layer transfer material 7, then the thermally fusible ink layer of an ink sheet with the thermally fusible ink layer formed on the support 1 is allowed to face the image-receiving layer 3, and a fusible ink is transferred by giving a thermal energy. Alternatively, the ink layer of an ink sheet with an ink layer containing a thermally diffusible color on the support 1 is allowed to face the image-receiving layer 3 and the color is diffused by thermal energy. As another method, the ink ejected from a nozzle may be caused to stick to the image-receiving layer 3 to form an image.
