PURPOSE: To easily observe an image-receiving sheet by holding it before a fluorescent light or a sun light without using an exclusive lighting equipment, such as a fluorescent lamp provided with a glass plate having light diffuse transmitting properties by a method wherein a total light transmittance and a diffused light transmittance in the thick direction of the whole image-receiving sheet are determined within specific ranges.
CONSTITUTION: In a sublimable image-receiving sheet 1 for thermal transfer recording comprising a substrate 5 and a dyeable accepting layer 3, the thermal transfer recording image-receiving sheet 1 has a total light transmittance Tt not less than 70% and a diffused light transmittance Td not less than 50% in the thick direction thereof. This thermal transfer recording image-receiving sheet can be easily observed by being held before a fluorescent light or a sun light without using an exclusive lighting equipment, such as a fluorescent lamp provided with a glass plate having light diffuse transmitting properties. This image-receiving sheet is also superior in the application of forming a light- transmitting manuscript without any trouble by using an exclusive lighting equipment.
