To provide an image reception device which enables the reception condition of code data to be intuitively recognized.

The image reception device is provided with a display device for displaying images and receives hierarchically encoded code data in various progressive sequences (S1) and acquires progressive sequence information and header information from received code data (S3 and S8) and displays a reception condition image representing the reception condition of code data on the display device on the basis of acquired progressive sequence information and header information (S9). Thus, the reception condition of code data can be visually confirmed because the reception condition image enabling the reception condition of the code data to easily be confirmed is displayed on the display device, and as a result, the reception condition of code data can be intuitively recognized.
