PURPOSE: To prevent generation of vacuoles between laminated body materials due to deformations of the laminated body materials and lowered adhesive strength at heating in manufacturing, by forming a base material having a receptor layer by a laminated body with an adhesive and specifying the peeling strength of the adhesive.
CONSTITUTION: In an image receptor 1 for sublimation type thermal transfer, a receptor layer 2 for receiving a dye which migrates from a thermal transfer sheet at heating is arranged on a top face of a base material 3. In the case, the base material 3 is made of a laminated body with an adhesive. The peeling strength of the adhesive is set to 270g/15mm or more as a whole at 180°C peeling. In the base material 3, for a film provided immediately below the receptor layer 2 and a material arranged on the rear face viewing from the receptor layer 2, difference in heat shrinkage percentage at 150°C in 30min. is set to 0.4% or less in both CD and MD. Further, a face where the receptor layer 2 of the base material 1 is to be arranged is made of a foamed polyethylene terephthalate film. Thus, deformations of the laminated body materials and vacuoles between the laminated body materials which occur at heating in manufacturing can be prevented.
