To provide an image recorder capable of stably feeding photosensitive material by always applying fixed tension to the photosensitive material.
If load fluctuation is caused in the case of pulling out the photosensitive material 2 from a magazine 1, it influences a pair of introducing rollers 3 and the carrying amount of the material 2 by the pair of rollers 3 is changed. In such a case, if a main driving roller 8 continues stable carrying, the up-and- down position of a tension roller 21 is fluctuated by an amount corresponding to a difference between the carrying amount of the material 2 by the roller 8 and that by the pair of rollers 3. However, the diameter of the roller 21 is selected to be nearly equal to installation space between the pair of rollers 3 and a pair of intermediate rollers 7, so that the fixed tension (tension which is W/2 being the half of the gravity W of the roller 21) is always applied to the material 2 by the principle of a running block whatever position the up-and- down position of the roller 21 is. Thus, the material 2 is stably fed.
