PURPOSE: To permit easy change over of image recording to photosensitive pressure- sensitive adhesive paper and image recording to plain paper and to permit the shortening of the time and the reduction of the cost in multi-function image recording and recording using the plain paper by adopting the simple constitution to develop latent images by a light shieldable material.
CONSTITUTION: The photosensitive pressure-sensitive adhesive paper OP is subjected to exposing by using the image developed by the light shieldable material and thereafter a pressure is exerted by a pressure developing means to the paper OP to develop and fix the exposed image when the above-mentioned paper OP is selected as a recording medium. The exposing to be executed by using the image developed by the light shieldable material may be executed after the light shieldable material is once transferred to a transparent film 31, etc. The exposing by the light reflected from the surface of the photosensitive body is equally well. If a transparent photosensitive body is used, the exposing by transmitted light is also a good alternative. On the other hand, the light shieldable material on the photosensitive body is transferred onto the plain paper NP and is fixed by a light shieldable material fixing means by which the image is recorded when the plain paper NP is selected as the recording medium. The time required for the image recording of a single color is thereby shortened.
