To provide an image recording apparatus capable of obtaining a highly stable light beam by suppressing the temperature rising in a semiconductor light emitting light source, and recording a highly precise image on a photosensitive material by using the light beam.
In the image recording apparatus for recording the image on a photosensitive material by using the light beam, two semiconductor light emitting devices are connected in parallel and individually used as a generation source for the light beam, and a signal relating to the image to be recorded is inputted to one of the two semiconductor light emitting devices while a signal in the inverted phase is inputted to the other device. The image recording apparatus is equipped with: a light blocking means which prevents the light emitting from the semiconductor light emitting device where the signal in the inverted phase is inputted from reaching the photosensitive material; and a cooling means for the two semiconductor emitting devices, the cooling means disposed close to the two semiconductor light emitting devices.
