The image recording device includes: a motion detection means which detects a motion vector based on a video signal obtained by an image capture means; an information amount adjustment means which performs an information amount reduction process on the video signal based on the motion vector; and a recording means which records the video signal which has been subjected to the information amount reduction process by the information amount adjustment means and accompanying information containing an information adjustment amount and the motion vector related to the video signal. The image reproduction device includes: a means which reads out from the recording means the video signal which has been subjected to the information amount reduction process and the accompanying information; and an image interpolation means which performs an interpolation process which increases an information amount, on the video signal which has been subjected to the information amount reduction process, based on the motion vector contained in the accompanying information.
