PURPOSE: To manufacture a recording material capable of forming a developed color image with heat conversion energy by dissolving an NO2 group-contg. high molecular resin in a mixture of two kinds of org. solvents different from each other in compatibility with the resin, mixing a leuco dye into the soln., and applying the resulting liq. to a support.
CONSTITUTION: An NO2 group-contg. high molecular resin such as nitro-cellulose as (a) a binder and developer is dissolved in a mixture of the 1st org. solvent such as acetone or methyl ethyl ketone having high compatibility with the resin and the 2nd org. solvent such as ethanol or isopropanol having compatibility lower than that of the 1st solvent and vapor pressure higher than that of the 1st solvent. A leuco dye such as leucomethylene blue as (b) a coupler is then mixed into the soln. to prepare a viscous liq., and this liq. is applied to a support and dried to obtain the desired image recording material.
