Abstract:

To provide an image recording medium for ink jet which has an ink receiving layer formed on a paper base and produces a highly weatherable image having outstanding image characteristics, especially curling characteristics.

This image recording medium for ink jet has at least two ink receiving layers on both faces of a paper base, the top layers of which are made up of a porous layer containing a thermoplastic latex resin. The ink receiving layer sandwiched between the top layers and the paper base is formed of the porous layer containing an inorganic pigment. Both faces of the top layers are thermally made transparent after ink jet recording.
