PURPOSE: To improve the quality of correction output and prevent soiling caused by excessive ink stuck around the printing paper or to the printing drum of a printing machine at the time of printing by providing laser beams scanning a non-image part, with adjusting signals excluding image information so as to record simultaneously.
CONSTITUTION: To the timing of laser beams scanning a non-image part in sensitized paper (printing paper) by a signal from an image part signal generator 52, adjusting signals exclusding image information from an adjusting signal generator 53 are combined by an adder 54 so as to record a register mark 44, a color batch 45, and the like for registering in a non-image part 40. In the case of proof print, these are used to confirm the grade of register dislocation and color density. In the case of printing, the dislocation of each color ink on the printing paper is checked by the register mark 44 for adjustment. This enables improvement in the quality of correction output and prevents soiling caused by excessive ink stuck around the printing paper or to a printing drum at the time of printing.
