To provide an image reproducing device that is capable of index display by which a viewer can easily and sufficiently understand the contents of a set of pictures at the time of index displaying and to provide an electronic camera and a printer.

The image reproducing device is provided with a means 61 that generates an index display image where reproduced pictures resulting from reducing original pictures are respectively displayed on each prescribed area of a display window and with a means 60 that displays sequentially a plurality of still pictures being components of a set of pictures within a prescribed area while being switched in the case that at least one reduced picture among the reduced pictures is a set of the pictures being a set of a plurality of still pictures that are cross-referenced with each other.
