Image data, its attribute information and an image featured value are correspondingly managed by using an image storing part 4 and an information managing data base DB7. The attribute information, the image featured value and the degree of notice to the attribute information and the image featured value are specified from an input part 1. The attribute information and the image featured value constituted of the specified retrieving condition are matched with the attribute information and the image featured value corresponding to the image data managed by the managing means. Image data which are to become the retrieved result based on the matching result are outputted to a display part 9.
