Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a higher resolution with a smaller read range by adopting the constitution so that data of picture elements at an interval of an integral number of image sensors having a picture read number being an integral number of multiple of display or print picture element number is selected. CONSTITUTION:An output from a CCD image sensor a having read picture element number being an integral number of multiple of display or print picture element number is converted into a digital data by an amplification and binarizing circuit 12 and fed to a data selection means 17. On the other hand, a data shift clock of a data shift clock generating circuit 11 is subject to frequency division of 1/2 or 1/3 by a frequency divider circuit 13 and one of outputs is selected by a changeover circuit 14 and fed to a data selection means 17. The data selection means 17 selects the picture data string binarized by the circuit 12 at an inteval of an integral number depending on one of AND circuits 15a-15d receiving a clock frequency-divided by the circuit 13.
