Abstract:

To attain pixel number transformation in an optional ratio that corresponds to an optional chroma format and a scan line number.

A SIMD controlled linear array type multi parallel processor 1 is used, and pixel number transformation processing in an optional ratio is performed with only software processing. At this time, in the case of 4:4:4 format, same pixel number transformation is respectively performed for luminance and chroma. In the case of 4:2:2 format, cubic interpolation is performed for a luminance signal and linear interpolation is performed for a chroma signal and the pixel number transformation is performed. Or it is transformed into 4:4:4 format and the same pixel number transformation is performed. In the case of 4:1:1: format, it is transformed into 4:2:2 format and the same pixel number transformation processing is performed. Or 4:2:2 format into which is transformed is further transformed into 4:4:4 format and the same pixel number transformation processing is performed.
