To suppress camera shake liable to arise at the time of exposure with a low-speed shutter.
A processor 310 calculates an amount of blur of an image arising on an image sensor 304 based on the information on the movement (oscillation) of the camera received from a movement detector 328 for detecting the oscillation of a camera and the focal length information of a lens system 302. An optical filter assembly 322, such as an IR cut filter and low-pass filter, disposed between the lens system 302 and an image sensor 404 is constituted oscillatably in a pitch direction and a yaw direction. The processor 310 determines the amount of oscillation of the filter assembly necessary for correcting the calculated amount of blur and oscillates and drives the filter assembly 322 via an optical filter pitch actuator 318 and an optical filter yaw actuator 320.
