Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video monitoring system capable of obtaining clear video data not only after event occurrence but also before event occurrence, while reducing the amount of data to be recorded in a video recorder.SOLUTION: Every predetermined processing time, a controller 2 controls a video recorder 4 to record video data, outputted from security cameras 13A, 13B, and 13C, in time series and in units of frame. When event detectors 14A, 14B, and 14C detect event occurrence, thinning prohibition processing is performed for the video data when the event detector detects an event, and for the video data of a predetermined number of frames before the event detector detects an event, after the processing time has expired. Video data not subjected to thinning prohibition processing is thinned-out at a predetermined thinning-out rate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
