Abstract:
PURPOSE: To realize an image transferring method where service life of a transfer belt is prolonged and the transferred image in good condition can be obtained for a long time.
CONSTITUTION: In the image transferring method using a transfer medium provided with dielectric layer, at least, on a surface, disposed so as to be able to come into and break contact with a photosensitive body 2 carrying a visible image, where the image is transferred by electrostatic transition of the toner from a photosensitive body 2 to a transfer papers on the transfer medium 5 when brought into contact with the photosensitive body 2 in a state applied with electric field having polarity opposite to that of the toner in the visible image, relation between specific resistance of the toner and the specific resistance at least on the surface of the dielectric layer, is established so that difference of the specific resistance between the toner and the dielectric layer on the transfer medium 5 becomes within 1 order of accuracy.
