To provide an image transmission technology utilizing features a mobile-processed Web camera and to provide an image display system for utilizing a transmitted image.

The Web camera 2 is provided with a PHS communication section 22 and exchanges information with a PHS base station 4 to receive information required to identify a position of the camera 2. A position information acquisition section 214 calculates position information of the camera 2 on the basis of the received information. The position information is related with image data outputted from an imaging section 211 and the resulting data are distributed to a PHS network and the Internet via an information distribution section 213 and a data communication section 221. A Web server receives the imaged data with which the position information is related and linked to corresponding coordinates on map data. Then the Web server opens the image data linked to the map data into public on the Internet.
