Abstract:

To reduce operator's operation and the operation burden on the operator.

Edited page data are stored in a storage device 1. In a storage device 3, output image data in bit map format obtained from the edited page data by RIP explosion are stored. Display data obtained from the edited page data by the RIP explosion, on the other hand, are displayed in a 1st display area on a display device 12 and the output data are displayed in a 2nd display area on the display device 12. When the area of the display data in the 1st display area is specified, the display data in the specified area are displayed in a 3rd display area on the display device 12 and the output image data in the corresponding area are displayed in a 4th display area on the display device 12. Namely, the operator can operate both the display data and output image data at the same time. Then a difference device 15 compares the display data in the specified area and the output image data and the comparison result is displayed in a 5th display area on the display device 12.
