To provide an imaging apparatus, an imaging control method, and a program capable of minimizing the difference of brightness of an image acquired from two image pickup devices when the incident light from a subject is polarized.
In an imaging apparatus, an imaging control method, and a program: a half mirror 22 divides an incident light from a subject into two optical paths; a first image pickup device 24 receives one of the incident lights divided by the half mirror 22; a second image pickup device 25 receives the other one of the incident lights divided by the half mirror 22; a first subject luminance calculation part 26 calculates a first subject luminance information based on the output of the first image pickup device 24; a second subject luminance calculation part 29 calculates a second subject luminance information based on the output of the second image pickup device 25; and an exposure correction value calculation part 32 compares the first subject luminance information and the second subject luminance information. For instance, the disclosed technique can be applied to an imaging device.
