Abstract:
To provide an imaging apparatus and a control method of the same which are capable of reducing wasteful power consumption due to an AE function.
An imaging apparatus 10 comprises: an acceleration detection unit 100 which detects acceleration occurring in the imaging apparatus 10; an exposure control unit 101 which performs exposure control to obtain a taken image corresponding to the brightness of a subject; and a posture determination unit 102 which detects the posture of the imaging apparatus 10 from the detected acceleration, determines whether the posture is a previously designated posture, and if determining that the posture is the previously designated posture, instructs the exposure control unit 101 to start the exposure control.
