PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus that can calculate a correction value of exposure control from white image data not including a chromatic color area.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 10 includes: an imaging part 2 that acquires image data from a subject image formed by an imaging lens part 1; a high-luminance white determination part 6ac that calculates a high-luminance white area from the image data; a high-luminance white area occupancy calculation part 6ad that calculates the high-luminance white area occupancy that is the proportion of the high-luminance white area to the image data; an exposure condition correction value calculation part 6ae that calculates a correction value on the basis of the high-luminance white area occupancy; and an exposure control part 6ai that controls the exposure of the imaging part on the basis of the correction value.
