Abstract:
To prevent occurrence of image quality change which is not intended by a user.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus has exposure control means (201, 202, 203, 207) performing exposure control, gain control means (204, 208) performing gain processing for an image signal, noise reduction means (206) performing noise reduction processing for the image signal, and intensity control means (205) controlling intensity of noise reduction processing for the image signal. Exposure control by the exposure control means includes control of gain processing by the gain control means, the gain processing to be controlled includes gain processing for complementing response speed of the exposure control, and the intensity control means changes over intensity control of noise reduction processing according to at least any one of whether the imaging apparatus is in a state performing gain processing for complementing the response speed, and the gain amount for use in gain processing control for complementing the response speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
