Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus that can record an appropriate HDR still image when photographing a still image while an HDR moving image with a broad dynamic range is recorded by composing a plurality of images with different exposures.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus, which can compose a plurality of images with different exposure conditions with each other to generate a composite image with a broad dynamic range and record the composite image as an HDR moving image, when instructed to photograph a still image while recording the HDR moving image, can compose the plurality of images with different exposure conditions with each other to generate the composite image with the broader dynamic range and record the composite image as an HDR still image. The apparatus, when instructed to photograph the still image while recording the HDR moving image, generates the composite image for the HDR still image by the same combination of frames as the combination of frames for generating the composite image for the HDR moving image photographed after the instruction for photographing the still image.
