Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of reducing deterioration in picture quality of a created picture even in the case of a scene having variation in color or brightness in HDR imaging using a moving picture.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: imaging means; imaging control means for controlling the imaging means so as to repeatedly image frame pictures having different exposures; development means for performing development processing on each of the imaged frame pictures; and synthesis means for synthesizing temporally continuous pictures developed by the development means to generate a synthesis picture. The development means generates a first picture and second picture whose development parameters are different, from one imaged frame picture. The synthesis means generates a first synthesis picture by synthesizing either of a first picture and second picture generated from each of temporally continuous imaged frame pictures; and, in generating a second synthesis picture subsequent to the first synthesis picture, uses a picture that is one of a first picture and a second picture generated from a preceding frame picture and differs from a picture used for generating the first synthesis picture.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
