Abstract:
To provide an imaging apparatus in which a camera with a built-in motorized universal head function acquires multiple images, prints them on a printer, and performs optimal automatic photographing control to obtain a wide range of printed images by pasting together multiple printed images after printing, and a control method for the same.SOLUTION: A camera 101 has an imaging unit 102, an imaging unit 103 that also serves as a field angle adjustment unit, a tilt drive unit 107 that tilts the imaging unit, and a pan drive unit 114 that pans the imaging unit. The camera 101 acquires original image data by setting the field angle to a wide field angle in the field angle adjustment unit and transmits the original image data to an external communication device (smartphone 201). The imaging unit acquires from the external communication device data of a desired print area of the original image data for which an application of the external communication device has made a specification.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
