Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an image photographic technique capable of adjusting an image for display to appropriate brightness by deciding an appropriate exposure condition even when imaging a scene with big contrast difference of a subject.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: imaging means for imaging an image; determining means for determining a plurality of subject regions from the imaged image; acquiring means for acquiring a photometric value for each subject region; deciding means for deciding an exposure condition on the basis of the photometric value for each subject region; and gradation converting means for converting gradation of the imaged image on the basis of the exposure condition.
