Abstract:
To obtain a desired image in consideration of any input transfer characteristics.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: an output means configured to image a subject and output a first color signal; a first signal processing means configured to process the first color signal to generate a second color signal; an input means configured to input conversion characteristics for converting the second color signal into a third color signal; a second signal processing means configured to convert the second color signal into the third color signal to be output on the basis of the conversion characteristics; a specifying means configured to specify a required signal range of the first color signal required to generate the third color signal using the conversion characteristics input by the input means; and a signal increasing means configured to increase the first color signal within a range in which a signal of the required signal range does not exceed an upper limit value of a predetermined signal range when the required signal range specified by the specifying means is smaller than the predetermined signal range of the first color signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
