Abstract:
To provide an imaging apparatus allowing for reduction of power consumption thereof during photographing.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 100 temporarily stores, into a pre-photographing area 115 of a buffer memory 114, pre-photographed image data acquired by an imaging device 102 during a pre-photographing period until receiving a recording start instruction of the captured image, out of image data acquired by the imaging device 102. The pre-photographed image data stored in the pre-photographing area 115 is image data before corrected by a data correction unit 110, and the amount of data transferred from the buffer memory 114 to the data correction unit 110 during the pre-photographing period is less than the amount of data transferred to the data correction unit 110 during a recording period in which the captured image data is recorded on a recording medium. The recording unit 113 records the image data acquired during the pre-photographing period and the image data acquired after the start of recording of the captured image in the recording medium.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
