Abstract:
To record sound with less discomfort even when a digital camera uses a self-timer function to shoot a movie.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes imaging means, operating means, recording means, reproduction means that reproduces electronic sound, sound collecting means that collects sound, adjustment means that adjusts gain of the sound collected by the sound collecting means, and control means that controls to capture an image by the imaging means using a self-timer function, and when the control means captures a moving image by the imaging means using the self-timer function, the control means controls the reproduction means to reproduce electronic sound notifying that the self-timer is in progress until the imaging means starts imaging, and when the timer receives an operation instructing to capture a moving image, the control means controls the recording means to record the gain of the adjusting means, and when the imaging means starts capturing a moving image, the control means controls the adjusting means to return the gain of the adjusting means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
