To present images photographed at respective irradiation angles to a photographer during bounce photography.
When a shutter button is depressed by a photographer, during photography under an irradiation angle variable consecutive photographing mode, first, photographing is performed, while setting the irradiation angle of a flash light emitting device to a tele-side and a resultant image (image signal) is stored in an internal memory (ST2, ST5, ST6). Next, photographing is performed, while setting the irradiation angle of the flash light emitting device 200 to a wide-side and a resultant image (image signal) is stored in the internal memory (ST7). Thereafter, on the basis of an instruction from the photographer, image signal processing is performed, as needed, and its result is displayed on a monitor (ST8). As a result, the image obtained by tele-side or wide-side photographing is selectively displayed on a display section. Thus, the photographer is able to perform photographing, while appropriately setting the irradiation angle of the flash light emitting device, by readily deciding which irradiation angle is to be set for the photographer in the photographing intended (ST9-ST11).
